| Styx Tournament - Winners - Lions Hockey Club | |
| Lions Captains - Message |
I would like to thank the Lions on a great tournament, we deserved the
trophy. The team played well in all the games but were a bit heavy after lunch, thanks to the cooking of Zack, and we let Exiles beat us(2-0). Both goals were courtesy of Steven (playing goalie) being caught off his line and being rounded by the keeper. We started the tournament well by beating Styx 2-0. The next game against a mixed team (Exiles and Styx players) the Lions played superbly, passing well from side to side and eventually winning the game 4-0. After the hiccup against Exiles, and when the food partially digested, we played ESOBGA. After Mohammed messed up his one-on-one with the goalie (which the goalie saved superbly) the lions went on to score the all important goal which gave them a 1-0 win and top the log. The final was between the top 2 teams on the log, Lions and Exiles. The Lions won the final 1-0. Many thanks to all that took part. |

hockey players. We sent out an SMS to approximately 30 mobiles of which only 4 replied. The SMS asked players to log onto the website for more information, but judging from the counter on Saturday morning only 10 people did actually have a look. |
